(BSNL), the state owned telecom provider, is set to launch the service soon. The new IPTV service in the region will give customers several benefits over the traditional cable or satellite services. Customers will be able to store programs and broadcasts for viewing at a later time. They will also have a wide variety of broadcast channels, live events and pay channels from which to choose. They will even be able to send personalized messages using the service. Another benefit for customers will be the option to bundle all of their services. They will be able to get one bill for their internet, telephone, and IPTV. IPTV is the latest technology that is a convergence in telecom and entertainment spectrum.
