[Digital TV Facts: The Latest | The switch to digital television] AT&T’s “Project Lightspeed” fiber- to-the-node (FTTN) architecture may be experiencing challenges and even if deployed could be un-competitive, said analyst Tom Watts in a note to investors. Watts expects AT&T to move to a fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC) or fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) architecture for selected markets, similar to Verizon Communications’ FiOS.
